Nyloboard is a manufacturer of composites used for decking and trim. Their products are made with 100% post-consumer carpet fiber and non-VOC resins--rendering them 100% green. Their existing website did little to position their products as better alternatives to non-green treated lumber and conventional wood- and plastic-based composites. The new website makes the advantages of Nyloboard's products abundantly clear from the home page on. It supports a new brand position: Compared to conventional composites, Nyloboard's products offer none of the bad stuff--and all of the good.
Conventional composite decking gives homeowners a viable alternative to treated lumber. But, not all decking composites are the same. Some are prone to mold and mildew. Others have wood as one of their major components. (How green is that?) And still others look like they’re made of plastic. (They are.) In short, there’s a lot of unfavorable stuff in some composites.
